Getting Started
This is where your personal information and the names of
the incoming/outgoing servers are stored.
- Launch Outlook Express by going to Start ->
Programs -> Outlook Express.
- If the Internet Connection Wizard does not appear, go
to the Tools menu and choose Accounts. The Internet Accounts
window will appear. (Fig. 1)
- Click on the Add button and choose
Mail.

- Type in your name and click the Next
button.

- In the window that appears, click the radio button next to "I already have
an e-mail address that I'd like to use."
- Type in your e-mail address, ie. user@ncplus.net and click the
Next button. The e-mail server names window appears. (Fig. 3)
- Choose POP3 from the Incoming mail server drop down menu.
- Type in mail.ncplus.net as the Incoming Mail server.
Enter mail.ncplus.net as the
outgoing (or SMTP) mail server.

- In the Internet Mail Logon window (Fig. 4), type your
NCPLUS Id (the first part of your e-mail address before the @ sign) next
to Account name.
- Type your Password (passwords are case sensitive). Only check the
remember password if your computer is secure from other people accessing your
e-mail. Click the Next button.

- Click the Finish button and you are done configuring Outlook
Express for your POP3 account. If the Internet Accounts window is still open,
simply click the close button.
You are now ready
to use your e-mail. When you want to check your e-mail, click on the Send
& Receive button in the toolbar.
