This past weekend, Charlene and I made a journey to the Seattle, WA area via the Keystone ferry to Port Townnsend, WA and down the western side of Hood Canal via Hwy 101; then stayed in Olympia, WA to visit with my Dad and Charlene's son, Kevin. We [Charlene, Dad, and I] were also at the Seattle Center in Seattle, WA for a live matinee theater production as quests of Charlene's other son, Randall. Here are a few highlight photos of this excursion.
..'Admiralty Head Light House & Museum'.. Charlene is standing on the porch of the retired [1920] Admiralty Head Light House. This light house is located on the western side of Whidby Island at Fort Casey and near Keystone Harbor where we took a ferry to Port Townsend, WA.
..'Taking Flight'.. This great blue heron was near the beach edge of Keystone Harbor.
The MV KLICKITAT, whose route is part of Washington State's highway system, nears to dock at the Keystone Harbor ferry landing.
The 'Space Needle' built for the 1962 world's fair is now a Seattle, WA landmark located in the Seattle Center. There is a revolving resturant at the top and a viewing deck.
This ever present ..'Ubiquitous Sea Gull'.. is most likely a California Gull. Those of you with only 3x optical zoom digital camera may appreciate the quick thinking needed to take advantage of the scene to get a photo of a flying bird. If you will notice, he/she appears in a two of the other photos!
