This image is first of three views of Mt. Baker, WA, taken in the late afternoon with a wintering sun filtered through high, light clouds. The view is a reprise of the MtBaker-FerndaleWA image featured on the Main and Tutorial Listing pages. It is taken from a bus stop location in Ferndale, WA and amazingly, no home or apartment construction appears to be imminent although the 20 acres 'For Sale' sign is gone. This image along with the other two were taken with an hand-held Canon EOS-350D [Rebel XT] and an EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM lens. They are also what appears in the camera's view finder, being just re-sized for illustration. Post-processing for each of the images consisted of using the '3Tone Range Adjustment Procedures', adjusting color balance, special image area enhancements, and sharpening with 'Picture Window Pro' image editing software. All original images are 3456x2304 pixels, large-fine jpg camera download files where the in-camera processing [contrast, saturation, sharpness, and tone - Parameter2] were set to nominal and AWB, AE, and AF were used at ISO100.
